Monicah mugo is breaking and setting records by becoming the first female video director via her production house MMF[MONICAH MUGO FILM STUDIOS],to venture in the drill music scene and despite been based in Nairobi she has incredibly gained a worldwide customer base.
Monicah is jack of all trades inthe visuals scene as she doubles up as an award winning film maker who debuted as an editor,switched to cinematography before settling to directing & writting .Not to forget her colorgrading,scoring and sounddesign skills which have become an icing on the cake in her industrious career.
Armed with the skills set Monicah set her eyes upon the drill rap scene as it interestingly called for all of her visual skills and just like lot inthe bible she has never looked back . she has gone all in with the aim of casting a light unto undeground artists with exptionally good music but lack world class videos that will put them on a pedestal to compete with established artists both audiowise and viusal wise.
She has managed to work with rising music stars such as Geri Soweto on the debut song “possessed” that enabled them to work with the current drill maestros wakadinali. “possessed” visuals has scored a total of 27,000 and counting views.
Apart from drill she has worked with other artists including Chronnix, Aloe Blacc, Benzema, Heart the Band, to name a few. &looks forward to collaborate with everyone interested in the music game
Her latest project involves an up and coming drill youngster by the name of yung pablo onthe song “king kong”which is also recieving a warm reception with many fans showering heaps of praises Monicah.
